Executive Committee
The Executive Committee shall manage affairs of the College when the Council is not in session. They shall prepare the agenda for Council meetings. Prepare resources to deal with issues before Council.
Registration Committee
The Registration Committee shall be responsible for receiving applications from individuals who wish to belong to and be certified by the College. To ensure the applicant is a Christian, the applicant has had adequate training and practical experience.
Membership Committee
The Membership Committee shall be responsible for registering members of the College. They shall examine each application for approval for membership with the College. They shall be liable to ensure that members comply with the requirements of the membership. They shall promote membership enrollment. They shall maintain accurate membership records that are updated as required. Complaints Committee The Complaints Committee shall be responsible for receiving the complaint from the public we serve, to evaluate the claim to determine appropriate action. To inquire of the counselor involved as to the facts surrounding the complaint, to issue correspondence to the complainant as to their findings and conclusion, to forward the complaint on to the Discipline Committee for action if and as required.
The Discipline Committee
The Discipline Committee shall be responsible for advising the member of a complaint and that the discipline committee has been given the file for action. The Committee shall require the defendant to appear before the committee for action on the case. The capacity of the committee to act shall include: placing restrictions on the certification of the member, require further or additional training, or a period of suspension or require the individual not to practice alone but have another person in the practice at all times when a client is being counseled, or remove the certification permanently. PLIC Committee The Public Liability Insurance Committee shall be responsible to work with an Insurance Company to provide insurance coverage to the members of the College, to act on behalf of the membership to interface with the Insurance Company when a claim is filed, to ensure that all the Insurance Company’s requirements are complied with by the members to maintain insurance coverage. The committee shall ensure that insurance covers every member as a prerequisite to holding membership. (The annual membership fee is included in the cost of insurance coverage.)
Communications Committee
The Communications Committee shall be responsible for sending out all communications to the membership as required. Each committee chairperson shall forward information to be communicated to the membership to the communications committee for publication to the members.
